Breakfast Restaurant Manager

Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is located on the world-famous Cable Beach in Broome, far north Western Australia. Broome is easily accessible by plane to all major Australian cities and offers a relaxed lifestyle with all the conveniences of shops, restaurants, cinemas, hospital and schools. Our property has 225 rooms of varying styles, 4 restaurants, pool side bars, tour desk, Resort Shop and Day Spa.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Breakfast Restaurant Manager on a Full-time basis. This position will require you to have a highly visible presence and hands-on approach during service periods.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position include:

• Managing staff to ensure restaurant service levels are consistent and of the highest possible standard
• Providing a high level of customer service and take action to resolve any problems quickly
• Ensure customer numbers are maximized each and every service period
• Monitor the physical appearance of the Restaurant and ensure that any problems are promptly addressed, including liaising with other departments
• Manage extraordinary requests, such as special events and functions and ensure they are executed seamlessly to a professional standard
• Process food and beverage orders and financial transactions using POS system
• Monitoring the restaurant budget, including completing detailed reporting on the same
• Driving revenue by ensuring maximum covers per service period
• Roster preparation and approval of timesheets in accordance with resort processes
• Working closely with the Kitchen and other resort departments
• Thorough knowledge of Resort policies and procedures and provide guidance to staff

The required skills, experience and attributes for this position include

• Previous experience at Restaurant Management level, including management of a team of at least 20.
• Hold a current WA Liquor License, or the ability to obtain one
• Thorough knowledge of liquor licensing and food safety practices
• High level of personal presentation and grooming
• Strong verbal and written English language skills
• Have a professional, friendly and engaging personality
• Formal qualifications in Diploma in Hospitality/Restaurant Management
• Current First Aid qualification
