Restaurant Manager

Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is located on the world-famous Cable Beach in Broome, far north Western Australia. Broome is easily accessible by plane to all major Australian cities and offers a relaxed lifestyle with all the conveniences of shops, restaurants, cinemas, hospital and schools. Our property has 225 rooms of varying styles, 4 restaurants, pool side bars, tour desk, Resort Shop and Day Spa.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Restaurant Manager. This position will require you to have a highly visible presence and hands-on approach during service periods.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position include:

• Managing staff to ensure restaurant service levels are consistent and of the highest possible standard
• Providing ongoing training and mentoring of staff
• Driving revenue by ensuring maximum covers per service period
• Roster preparation and approval of timesheets in accordance with resort processes
• Stock rotation and ordering, including a monthly stocktake
• Monitoring the restaurant budget, including completing detailed reporting on the same
• Working closely with the Kitchen and other resort departments
• Ensuring the restaurant and staff is always presented to resort standards
• Promptly address customer concerns

The required skills, experience and attributes for this position include

• Experience working at Restaurant Management level in high-end full service restaurant
• Previous experience working with European cuisine will be distinct advantage
• Extensive local and international wine knowledge
• A demonstrated history of training and mentoring staff that contributed to the delivery of increased customer satisfaction
• A history of working within budgeted guidelines
• Hold a current WA Liquor License, or the ability to obtain one
• High level of personal presentation and grooming
• Strong verbal and written English language skills
• Have a professional, friendly and engaging personality
• Micros experience (preferable)
• Formal qualifications in hospitality management or similar
