As Burger Urge continues to grow across Queensland and Australia, we are looking for a capable, independent HR Senior Advisor to join our People & Culture team and play a key role in supporting our restaurant network and support office.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, autonomous HR Advisor role within a fast-paced QSR / hospitality environment.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of HR operations, partnering closely with venue leaders and the support office.
You’ll be trusted to own your space, make decisions, and manage matters end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical HR advice to managers and franchisees across QLD
- Manage employee relations matters (performance, misconduct, grievances, investigations)
- Support end-to-end recruitment and onboarding across the network
- Ensure compliance with Fair Work, Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and internal policies
- Support visa program administration and right-to-work compliance
- Assist with HR documentation, contracts, and policy implementation
- Partner with payroll and systems teams to ensure HR data accuracy
- Support change initiatives and continuous improvement across People & Culture
- Act as a trusted HR contact point for both venues and support office teams
About You
You’re confident, self-directed, and comfortable working independently.
You will bring:
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor / HR Generalist, ideally in hospitality or QSR
- Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation
- Experience managing employee relations matters end-to-end
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with senior stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and a calm, pragmatic approach
- Confidence supporting operational leaders in a fast-moving environment
- Experience working across multi-site or franchise networks (highly regarded)
