Development & Facilities Coordinator
Some people manage venues.
Build venues. Keep them running. Make things happen.
Burger Urge is looking for a highly organised and proactive Development & Facilities Coordinator to join our Development Team and support the delivery, maintenance and continued improvement of our growing national venue network.
This is not a traditional desk-based administration role.
You’ll be right in the middle of our new venue openings, refurbishments, construction projects, facilities management and venue improvement programs — coordinating contractors, managing work orders, tracking projects, processing invoices and purchase orders, and making sure actions actually get closed out.
Reporting to our Facilities & Project Manager, you’ll work closely with Franchise Partners, Venue Managers, contractors, suppliers and our Support Office teams to keep projects moving and our venues operating at their best.
What you’ll be doing
Your role will span both Development Projects and Facilities Management, including:
· Coordinating facilities and maintenance requests across the Burger Urge venue network, including raising and monitoring work orders and following contractors through to completion.
· Supporting new venue builds, refurbishments, minor works, relocations and venue closures from project commencement through to handover and close-out.
· Maintaining project programs, trackers, action registers, defects lists and key milestones in Monday.com.
· Raising and reconciling purchase orders and assisting with construction progress claims, invoices, variations and project cost tracking.
· Maintaining fitout cost information and supporting cost analysis and benchmarking across our development program.
· Coordinating contractors and suppliers, including quotations, onboarding, compliance documentation, service levels and performance.
· Supporting venue refurbishment shutdowns, recommissioning and decommissioning activities.
· Coordinating operational supplies, documentation, signage and collateral required for new venue openings and refurbishments.
· Maintaining facilities schedules, equipment warranties, asset information and critical spare-parts records.
· Liaising with Franchise Partners and Venue Managers and keeping them informed of maintenance requests, projects and outstanding actions.
· Supporting project handovers, practical completion, defects management and collection of warranties, certificates, manuals and close-out documentation.
· Preparing regular Development and Facilities reporting and ensuring our systems and records remain accurate and current.
The role is designed to ensure maintenance requests and project activities are accurately recorded, appropriately approved, progressed within required timeframes and financially reconciled.
Who we’re looking for
You’ll be someone who gets satisfaction from being organised, solving problems and getting things finished.
You’ll ideally bring experience in facilities, construction, property, project coordination, hospitality, retail or another multi-site environment. More importantly, you’ll be comfortable juggling multiple priorities and dealing confidently with different stakeholders.
You’ll have strong administration and coordination capability, attention to detail, experience with invoices, purchase orders or work orders, and the confidence to communicate with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Why Burger Urge?
Burger Urge isn't interested in doing things the same way simply because that's how they've always been done.
We’re an ambitious Australian hospitality brand with an active program of new venue growth, refurbishments and investment in our existing network.
You’ll join a Development Team responsible for shaping the physical Burger Urge network and have exposure to the full venue lifecycle — from construction and opening through to facilities management, refurbishment and eventual closure or relocation.
For someone looking to build a career in property, construction, facilities or development, this role provides an opportunity to gain broad, practical experience rather than being confined to one narrow part of the development process.
Sound like you?
If you’re highly organised, commercially aware, comfortable managing competing priorities and known for following things through until they’re done, we’d like to hear from you.
Apply now with your CV and a brief introduction telling us why you’d be a great addition to the Burger Urge Development Team.
