BURGER URGE - Franchise Development Manager

Burger Urge (BU) has been making innovating and reimaging the food retail sector for 18 years! We believe in making burgers the way they should be. We use premium local ingredients for our delicious, classic, and on-trend recipes.

Reporting to the Head of Development, you will form part of a highly collaborative team to execute and deliver the next evolution of Burger Urge venues.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee the entire franchise recruitment process and establish and refine a franchise development procedure and systems.
  • Pre-screen candidates via phone and interview to ensure both brand and values alignment compliment candidate experience and qualification.
  • Ensure all conduct, communications, procedures, documentation and representations are in full compliance with the Franchising Code of Conduct.
  • Provide high level of communication and support for candidates to enhance their understanding of the franchise and our business model.
  • Match potential candidates with site opportunities in territories of interest.
  • Manage existing franchisee renewal process and Franchise and Corporate venue resales.
  • Deliver accurate and detailed reporting of all enquiries, leads, and sales activities.
  • Liaise with all departments to ensure the smooth onboarding of new Franchise partners and integration into the business operations. 
  • New venue financial analysis and projections to ensure delivery of new venue openings on time and budget providing a support resource to the Franchisee.  

To be successful in this role you will require the following: 

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Franchise Development Manager or a similar role.
  • Previous franchise recruitment experience within the retail, hospitality or related sectors highly regarded.
  • Strong business acumen & administration skills with an understanding of franchise code of conduct and related regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills including relationship management, consultation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with legal agreements such as Business Contracts, Franchise Agreements and Leases.
  • A tertiary qualification in Business is not required however advantageous.
