As we continue to expand, we’re seeking a driven, experienced, and hands-on Assistant Venue Manager (AVM) to join our Mackay team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a hospitality professional looking to further their leadership career within a progressive and fast-growing organisation.

The Role

Reporting to the Venue Manager, the AVM is an integral part of the day-to-day operations and success of the restaurant. You will lead by example, drive a high-performing team culture, and ensure excellence across service, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Venue Manager in all facets of daily operations
• Lead, mentor, and train team members to ensure a consistent and high-standard customer experience
• Monitor and manage inventory, ordering, and stock control
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, OH&S, and regulatory standards
• Implement and support local marketing initiatives and promotional strategies
• Handle escalated customer feedback with professionalism and efficiency
• Manage shift scheduling and labour effectiveness

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role in hospitality or QSR
• Proven leadership capabilities with a passion for developing people
• Strong understanding of hospitality operations, food safety, and service standards
• Exceptional communication and multitasking skills
• Availability for a flexible roster, including evenings and weekends
• High attention to detail and a customer-first mindset

If you have the following, we strongly encourage you to apply:

• At least 12 months of management experience in hospitality
• Recognised hospitality qualifications
