Our Business

Infrastructure Services delivers and maintains Brisbane's vital infrastructure network, supporting a growing city and helping prepare Brisbane for the future. Through the planning, design and delivery of major capital works programs, the division plays a critical role in improving connectivity, liveability and resilience across Brisbane.

As Brisbane continues to grow, so too does our infrastructure investment. We are delivering an expanding portfolio of transport and civil infrastructure projects that will help shape how people move through and experience our city for years to come.

Our Branch

The Civil and Transport team within the Project Management Branch is responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects that improve how Brisbane moves, connects and grows.

While many people associate transport infrastructure with roads, our portfolio extends much further. From bikeways, shared pathways and intersection upgrades through to public realm improvements, flood recovery initiatives and network rehabilitation programs, our projects have a visible and lasting impact on communities across Brisbane.

The Roles

Brisbane is growing rapidly and so is our infrastructure program. As investment across the city continues to expand, we are seeking experienced project professionals to help deliver a significant pipeline of transport and civil infrastructure projects. Projects include major road corridors, intersection upgrades, bikeways, shared pathways, bridges and culverts, flood recovery initiatives, network rehabilitation works and other city-shaping transport infrastructure projects.

From concept through to construction, you will lead the planning, design and delivery of transport and civil infrastructure projects while working alongside experienced engineers, consultants, contractors, government agencies and key stakeholders to deliver outcomes that make a visible and lasting impact across the city.

Depending on your skills and experience, you may be considered for either a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager opportunity.

As a Project Manager, you will coordinate and deliver infrastructure projects, manage planning and delivery phase activities, monitor budgets and schedules, and help resolve complex project constraints.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead some of Council's larger and more complex infrastructure projects and programs. You will provide strategic direction, influence key project outcomes, guide multidisciplinary teams and build strong partnerships across Council, industry and government to deliver successful city-shaping outcomes.

This is a unique opportunity to work on projects that directly improve Brisbane's transport network, active travel infrastructure and public spaces while developing your career within one of Australia's largest local governments.
