The Role
As the Systems Coordinator – CXT within the Business Solutions team, you’ll play a key role in managing and supporting the technology that underpins Brisbane’s public libraries. You’ll provide expert advice on systems such as the Library Management System (LMS), BNELibraries app, radio frequency identification (RFID), and other digital tools, ensuring they are maintained, supported, and aligned with operational needs.
This role involves close collaboration with branch staff, Council service providers, and external vendors to deliver seamless technology experiences. You’ll lead and support specialised projects, contribute to system upgrades and refurbishments, and help shape the future of library technology. Your ability to manage change, communicate effectively, and build strong partnerships will be essential to your success.
You’ll also be responsible for analysing data, producing reports, and ensuring compliance with Council policies and procedures. This is a strategic and hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-location environment and is passionate about delivering world-class library services through technology.
To be successful you will have:
- Extensive knowledge of library operations and experience in large-scale, decentralised environments.
- Proven ability to lead and implement technology solutions including LMS, app development and RFID.
- Strong project management and change management skills across multiple locations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including vendor liaison.
- Ability to analyse data, produce reports, and advise on technology trends and performance.
- Experience supporting library refurbishments and new technology rollouts.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to performance excellence.
- Desirable: A degree in library and information management.
