The Role

We are seeking an experienced Parks and Gardens Delivery Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across Council’s city-wide parks, gardens and greenspace maintenance services, ensuring safe, efficient and customer-focused service delivery for the Brisbane community.

In this role, you will lead the commercial and operational functions of the Parks and Gardens business unit, with accountability for the delivery of a diverse range of greenspace maintenance services, financial performance, operational planning, workforce management and service outcomes across multiple customer groups and stakeholders.

You will lead a large, geographically dispersed workforce of approximately 130 employees and contractors operating across Brisbane, supported by frontline leaders and specialist functions. The business delivers essential services year-round, maintaining some of Brisbane's most valued public spaces while responding to community expectations, severe weather events and emerging operational priorities.

A key aspect of the role will be driving a strong culture of safety, accountability and customer focus while ensuring resources, systems, fleet and operational programs are effectively planned and managed to achieve service delivery objectives. You will also lead performance improvement initiatives, provide high-level operational advice and foster strong partnerships across Council and the community.
