Working in close collaboration, the three branches of City Planning and Economic Development Services division work on strategic and operational plans to deliver on Brisbane Vision 2031, shape Brisbane into a city that residents will be proud of, support an economy where businesses thrive, and design a world-class destination for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Design Brisbane shapes the future of our city by developing and implementing place-making policies advocating for great urban design and delivering transformative urban improvement projects across the city. The team delivers high-quality design outcomes through policy development, capital works, public art, partnerships, and expert advisory services, including architecture and landscape architecture input on development applications and major projects.

As Manager, Design Brisbane, you will provide strategic leadership to a multidisciplinary team, driving city-shaping initiatives and delivering impactful design solutions. In this pivotal role, you will:

• Champion design excellence across Council and with external partners
• Lead the planning, delivery and ongoing enhancement of vibrant public spaces and city improvement projects
• Oversee strategic capital programs, design policy development and collaborative partnerships; and
• Provide expert guidance on complex development applications and influence planning policy and legislation.
