Our Branch
Asphalt and Aggregates branch manages quarries, asphalt production and road surfacing operations across Brisbane. We work across a variety of sites in Brisbane including Eagle Farm, Riverview, Mt Coot-tha, Bracalba and Pine Mountain. We run 24/7 operations and have a workforce of around 330 council employees and contractors who are dedicated to providing quality road surfacing materials and services for Brisbane.
The Role
As Operations Support Officer in this branch, your primary role purpose is to provide high quality and customer focussed reception, administrative and support services to assist the effective operation of the Branch. The role provides logistic support to the area and liaises with contractors, suppliers and a range of internal and external stakeholders.
In addition to this, you will aid the branch with a range of support activities, including processing invoices, purchasing of uniforms and other general goods and some basic HR functions. A large part of this role is transactional high-volume plant orders, where your attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills will be highly valued.
To be successful in this position you will have:
- solid experience in providing quality administration and reception/customer support
- experience in general purchasing of goods and services
- the ability to liaise with people of all levels and backgrounds
- excellent time management and workload prioritisation skills
- proficiency in computer systems e.g. MS Office and SAP
