Branch: Transport Planning and Operations

Salary Range: Band 7 $127,965 - $139,905 + superannuation (Remuneration stated is for the full-time positions)

Work type: Temporary Full-time

Duration: Up to 18 months

Our Branch

Transport Planning and Operations (TPO) have a key role to play in planning and maintaining Council's transport network and in implementing the Transport Plan for Brisbane to enable the efficient and sustainable movement of people and freight.

We are all about keeping Brisbane moving, whether that's by using our road network or riding, walking or scooting along one of our many bikeways and shared paths.

The Role

We’re looking for someone who is organised, collaborative and passionate about delivering great transport outcomes and outstanding service to our customers.  The Correspondence Team Leader manages and liaises with high level stakeholders and manages issues relating to customer enquiries, correspondence and service delivery with professionalism and sensitivity. The role is accountable for providing both operational and strategic leadership, including coaching, improving employee capability, customer data analysis and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • leading a team to perform at their best performance standards and mutual expectations 
  • ensuring timely, accurate and customer focused responses
  • engage with team members to develop skills, provide coaching and share information and knowledge
  • model and lead performance excellence and values-based culture
  • providing accurate and timely advise to the CEO’s Office, Lord Mayor’s Administration and Engagement Office and elected council members 

To be successful in this position you will need:

  •  a focus on delivering exceptional customer service outcomes with honesty, fairness, sensitivity and dignity.
  • experience leading and coaching a high-performing team to foster a collaborative, productive team culture
  • ability to set and foster a vision, leading the team on journey of striving for improvement everyday
  • ability to develop positive working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally
  • excellent data analysis and presentation skills
  • ability to undertake statistical and trend analysis of customer interactions and identify areas of improvement.
  • a desire and demonstrated ability to improve employee capability in customer-centric mindset and practices
