Our Branch

​​​​​​​Asphalt and Aggregates oversees the management of Council's quarries and road surfacing operations, including the laying and repair of asphalt pavements, minor pothole repairs and road line marking. The branch consists of three core business units: Road Resurfacing, Asphalt Production and Quarries.

The Role

The Scheduler Road Marking plays a key role in coordinating and scheduling programmed road marking works to ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently and on time. Working collaboratively with the Team Leader, Delivery Manager and scheduling team, the role helps deliver a well‑coordinated program that meets operational requirements, customer expectations and legislative obligations. The position actively engages with stakeholders through scheduling meetings, manages customer requirements, and supports the delivery of complex projects. With a strong focus on customer service and a Zero Harm safety culture, the Scheduler ensures compliance with workplace health, safety and environmental legislation, identifies and manages site‑specific risks, and maintains accurate, up‑to‑date scheduling information in SAP to optimise program delivery.

To be successful you will have:

  • a collaborative approach and the ability to contribute to team performance and continuous improvement
  • practical knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety policies, environmental and quality policies and Equal Employment Opportunities requirements within an operational environment
  • experience with road marking services, including the ability to interpret plans and documentation
  • demonstrated ability to schedule works and manage costs in a commercial or operational setting
  • strong communication skills to engage effectively with customers and team members
  • well‑developed analytical and computer skills to support scheduling, reporting and contract administration
  • technical experience in the delivery of civil construction or maintenance services
  • a C Class Drivers’ Licence.

Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering (or equivalent), a Certificate 3 in Line Marking, proficiency in Microsoft Office and sound knowledge of road marking activities and practices are desirable not mandatory.
