Personnel Area: Corporate Services 

Branch: Information Services  

Salary Range: Band 8 $150,432 - $162,791 + Superannuation (Remuneration stated is for the full-time positions) 

Work type: Temporary Full-time 

Duration: Up to 24 months (Extension/s thereafter but not guaranteed).

Our Business  

​​​Corporate Services support, equip and help guide Council to deliver the Brisbane Vision through centralised corporate services and a customer-focused approach.  

Information Services branch (ISB) delivers digital and information technologies to maintain and enhance Council’s information, processes and systems, and enable data driven insights to improve decision-making and customer experience. 

The Role  

As the Digital Literacy and Training Lead, you will drive Council's digital capability by developing and delivering strategic learning initiatives that increase adoption, proficiency, and productivity across Microsoft 365 applications, Power BI, Copilot, and other digital workplace technologies. 

Working across the organisation, you will identify digital capability gaps and design engaging learning experiences that empower employees to confidently embrace new ways of working. Through a mix of instructor-led training, digital learning content, learning pathways, and adoption programs, you will support the successful implementation and ongoing optimisation of Council's digital tools and platforms. 

You will lead the development of Council's digital learning framework, partner with stakeholders to support technology and business transformation initiatives and use data-driven insights to measure success and continuously improve learning outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to shape how Council builds digital capability and maximises the value of its technology investments. 

To be successful you will have: 

  • Proven experience delivering digital literacy, technology adoption, and capability programs in a large, complex organisation 
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Power BI, Copilot, and modern workplace technologies, with a track record of initiatives that successfully drive user adoption 
  • Experience developing learning strategies that increase digital capability, productivity, and business outcomes 
  • Strong learning design and facilitation skills, with experience delivering instructor-led, online, and self-service learning solutions 
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels 
  • Experience measuring and reporting on learning effectiveness and adoption outcomes 
  • A passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and helping people embrace new ways of working. 

Desirable: 

  • Qualifications, or equivalent experience, in Adult Learning, Training and Assessment, E-Learning, Human Resources, Business, or a related field 
  • Experience supporting digital transformation, Microsoft 365 adoption, or organisational change initiatives
