The Role
The Lead Analyst – Grants plays a pivotal role in unlocking funding that delivers real outcomes for our community. This position proactively identifies and secures high‑value grant opportunities, leads end‑to‑end submissions, and ensures strong governance, compliance, and reporting across the full grant lifecycle.
Working closely with teams at all levels of Council, the role leverages insights, partnerships, and networks to support innovative, high‑impact community projects. It also builds and maintains strong external relationships with funding bodies and stakeholders, acting as a trusted advocate for future investment that advances Council’s strategic priorities and long‑term vision.
To be successful you will have:
- relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related discipline
- extensive experience in grant writing, funding acquisition, and end‑to‑end grant administration, with a proven record of securing and managing funded projects in a government or community setting
- strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across a complex organisation and with external stakeholders
- highly developed organisational, analytical, and reporting skills, with strong attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, and to identify opportunities and risks to inform sound decision‑making
- demonstrated integrity, with experience handling sensitive information and upholding high standards of confidentiality and ethics
- proven leadership capabilities consistent with Council’s Leadership Blueprint.
