Our Branch
Within Support Services, Employee Services operationalise Council's HR processes managing the delivery of recruitment, learning and development and general HR functions and include payroll services across all areas of Council. We work closely with our process owners in the People and Culture branch.

The role
The Training Consultant – Recruitment and Talent Acquisition plays a vital role in building the capability, consistency and excellence of Council’s recruitment function.
Working closely with the Recruitment and Talent Acquisition Manager, this role designs, develops, and delivers high‑impact training programs that strengthen team performance, uplift system knowledge, and ensure compliance across all recruitment-related processes.
With a strong focus on capability development and a forward looking digital optimisation agenda, the Training Consultant creates engaging training materials, facilitates workshops, analyses learning needs, and evaluates program effectiveness. The role also partners with stakeholders across organisation to ensure alignment with Council’s operational goals and strategic direction.
This position suits a proactive learning professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, is confident navigating recruitment technologies, and brings a passion for developing others while continuously improving training programs at scale.
What we are looking for:
· Support recruitment transformation initiatives by facilitating change, embedding improved recruitment processes, and enabling stakeholders to adopt new systems, tools and practices
· strong experience developing and delivering training programs preferably within recruitment, talent acquisition or HR functions
· excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
· ability to manage multiple training initiatives with independence and strong organisation skills
· analytical mindset with experience evaluating training effectiveness and using data to inform improvements
· knowledge of compliance requirements related to recruitment processes (or ability to acquire)
· experience delivering high‑volume, customer‑focused services in a complex organisation
· experience using ERP recruitment systems such as SAP, LMS, Success Factors (desirable).
