Our Business
Public Space Operations delivers the day-to-day maintenance and enhancement of Council’s parks, landscapes and public spaces. Our work is practical, community-facing and essential to maintaining Brisbane’s reputation as a city of open space and natural beauty.
The Role
As a Greenspace Supervisor, you will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team while coordinating people, equipment and resources to deliver high-quality maintenance outcomes across Council's public open spaces. You will play a key role in ensuring our greenspaces and infrastructure are safe, well-maintained and accessible for the community, both now and into the future.
To be successful you will have:
- Demonstrated leadership capability, with a track record of driving high performance and fostering a positive, values-based team culture.
- Experience coordinating, planning and delivering reactive and planned infrastructure and open space maintenance programs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide advice, influence outcomes and build effective relationships with customers, contractors and colleagues.
- Demonstrated financial management experience, including budget monitoring and the delivery of maintenance programs within approved budgets.
- Proficiency in corporate systems and software, including SAP and the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Word and Excel).
Mandatory: C class driver licence & Cert III in Horticulture
