The Role  

As the Senior Systems Coordinator CXT, based in the Business Solutions team, you’ll lead the strategic management of Brisbane City Council’s Library Management System (LMS), the BNELibraries app and associated technologies. This senior role is responsible for ensuring the performance, development, and innovation of systems that support library operations and customer engagement. 

You will provide high level advice to library teams and stakeholders on technology, products, and processes, and play a key role in planning and implementing new solutions. Your work will span system upgrades, vendor engagement, data analysis, and support for library refurbishments and new branches. You’ll also lead projects and change initiatives that improve service delivery and align with Council’s strategic direction. 

This is a leadership role for someone with deep experience in library systems, strong project and stakeholder management skills, and a passion for driving continuous improvement in public library services. 

To be successful you will have: 

  • Extensive experience managing LMS operations, strategy, and vendor relationships. 
  • Strong leadership in implementing technology solutions across decentralised environments. 
  • Proven ability to lead change and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. 
  • Experience with RFID and other systems integrated with LMS platforms. 
  • Advanced skills in data analysis, reporting, and systems maintenance. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and advocacy skills, especially in vendor and stakeholder engagement. 
  • Strong project management skills, including risk and change management. 
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to performance excellence. 
  • Desirable: A degree in Library and Information Management.
