Our Branch
Information Services branch (ISB) supports and enables nearly all of Council’s day-to-day activities and services through efficient, flexible and innovative ICT solutions. We lead the ICT strategy that supports the business objectives of Council as a whole, as well as information management and ICT service delivery in Council.
The Role
The role of Product Owner Artificial Intelligence (AI) is critical in bridging the gap between the technical teams, other Groups within Council and ultimately, the people who live and work in Brisbane. By working as a key stakeholder between the end users and AI developers, you will lead the successful delivery of new AI assets and final products whilst setting up strong governance before, during and after the creation process. In addition, the role of the Product Owner Artificial Intelligence officer will assist in the vision and delivery of the roadmap for AI powered products and services, ensuring they deliver maximum value and align with Council’s public service objectives.
To be successful have:
- demonstrated experience in product management, with a strong track record of managing products through their full lifecycle, from ideation to launch and iteration
- demonstrated experience in understanding user needs (citizens, government employees), ability to define and measure the value of AI products and designing AI solutions that are intuitive and impactful
- demonstrated experience working in agile development environments and the ability to translate complex challenges into actionable AI projects.
- technical understanding of AI/ML capabilities and limitations to effectively communicate with technical teams
- excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
