Duration: Up to 2 years (Extension/s thereafter but not guaranteed)
Location: Green Square, with working from home arrangements available. Ability to attend other Council locations as needed.

Support Services provides Council's key support functions under a centralised model, ensuring efficient back-of-house operations so that more resources can be focused on front-line service delivery. We provide a wide range of support to all areas of Council, playing a crucial role in driving operational success across the organisation.
The Role
As the Governance and Strategy Improvement Officer, you will lead and deliver strategic administration and information management improvement initiatives that enhance governance, service delivery and decision‑making across Council.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, design future‑focused solutions and deliver practical improvements aligned with corporate strategy and organisational requirements.

To be successful you will have:
- ability to showcase skills in governance, business improvement and strategic planning
- well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to influence at senior levels
- a commitment to continuous improvement, performance excellence and customer-focused outcomes
- demonstrated experience in business analysis, business process improvement or related disciplines
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, design and implement creative and practical solutions.
