Our Branch
The Library and Customer Services Branch is 2 separate streams that function with a shared purpose to provide excellent customer service and experiences for the Brisbane community. Library and Customer Delivery provide a range of services to the residents, visitors and businesses of Brisbane. Whether it be visiting our Libraries, contacting our Contact Centre, requesting building plans, applying to light up a Council asset, needing a food business license or looking for your lost property, we are here to help. For over a decade, our branch has been Council's front line for customers to deliver outstanding experiences for our community.
The Role
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Change and Culture Officer to help shape a positive, future focused culture across our newly formed Library and Customer Delivery Branch. In this role you will play a key part in strengthening our branch’s change readiness by supporting continuous improvement initiatives and delivering high quality targeted communication that ensures clarity, consistency, and alignment with Council’s style and strategic direction. Reporting to the Branch Business Manager you will collaborate with the Branch Leadership Team to deliver positive outcomes in a proactive manner for the branch.
To be considered you will have:
- demonstrated ability to develop, design, and implement internal communication plans and activities that support organisational change, continuous improvement and positive outcomes for internal stakeholders as changes occur.
- ability to analyse internal communication issues, trends and data with the proven ability to evaluate and improve communication strategies that strengthen communication, change readiness and culture across multiple audiences and platforms.
- demonstrated ability to liaise, coach and support colleagues, leaders and other senior stakeholders to strengthen their communication capability, build confidence and resilience during change with a focus on consistent and accurate customer‑focused messaging.
- demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, including researching, writing, editing and presenting clear and targeted content ensuring accuracy, accessibility and alignment with organisational values and strategic direction
- demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships and influence a diverse range of stakeholders by providing practical communication guidance and support in a in a customer-focused change-oriented environment.
This role will require a Criminal History Check
