Our Branch

The Business Engagement and Performance (BEP) branch helps Council deliver greater value to the community and organisation by providing strategic leadership, strong governance and enterprise alignment. Through effective project, program and portfolio management, BEP drives efficiency, supports informed investment decisions and enhances visibility of organisational performance. By fostering integrated governance, service excellence and a ‘One Corporate Services’ approach, BEP strengthens capability and collaboration across people, services and processes, enabling Council to plan effectively, invest wisely and achieve better outcomes.

The Role

Join the Business Engagement and Performance (BEP) team and play a key role in helping Council deliver strategic priorities and community outcomes through effective project management, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for coordinating and supporting delivery of a range of projects and programs, preparing project management documentation, oversight and reporting on budgets and risks, monitoring outcomes, and providing advice on strategy, policy and legislative requirements. You will work closely with stakeholders across Council and the broader community to develop strong partnerships, support informed decision-making and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed standards.

As part of a collaborative and high-performing Corporate Services team, you will contribute to a culture of good governance, service excellence and teamwork. This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful organisation-wide projects, build strong professional networks and develop your project management and stakeholder engagement expertise while helping Council improve services, drive innovation and achieve better outcomes for the community.

To be successful you will have:

  • experience delivering projects and initiatives within agreed timeframes and standards.
  • strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • knowledge of project management methodologies and project documentation.
  • well-developed analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills.
  • strong stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • a collaborative approach, with a commitment to teamwork, continuous improvement and achieving results.
