The Role
We’re looking for a motivated and customer-focused Information Management Officer to join our Information Management team. We have two temporary opportunities available – one full-time and one part-time.
In this role, you’ll support the delivery of records management and mail services across Council, ensuring information is accurate, secure and easy to access, while meeting policy and legislative requirements.
You’ll work closely with teams across Council to resolve requests and deliver practical outcomes, while continuing to build your capability in line with agreed performance goals.
Your day-to-day work will involve managing Council records through classification, indexing, storage and retrieval, as well as supporting an uplift in digitisation activities and contributing to continuous process improvements.
As part of a collaborative team, you’ll help deliver key services including records management and mail management, correspondence management and digitisation. You’ll identify and escalate risks where needed, provide clear advice to stakeholders, and maintain information systems with a high level of accuracy and integrity. You’ll bring experience in records management and digitisation, along with strong communication, organisation and time management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
To be successful you will have:
- experience or strong exposure to records management and/or mail services (classification, indexing, filing and tracking)
- strong communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
- a team-focused mindset with the ability to give and receive feedback
- good organisational and time management skills
- the ability to work collaboratively in a changing environment
- confidence using systems and software, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
