Salary Range: Band 6 $116,089 - $128,453 AUD per annum + Superannuation (Remuneration stated is for the full-time positions)

Work type: Temporary Full-time

Duration: Up to 12 months (Extension/s thereafter but not guaranteed).

Location: Brisbane Square + hybrid working arrangements

The Role

Brisbane City Council is seeking a Procurement Process and Systems Officer to support the continued improvement of Council’s procurement systems and end‑to‑end source‑to‑pay processes. In this role, you will analyse, design and enhance procurement processes and systems to optimise value from the vendor market and support Council’s strategic objectives.

A key focus of this role is stakeholder training and engagement. You will work closely with internal teams to build capability, promote understanding of procurement systems and processes, and encourage effective self‑service. By providing clear guidance, training and support, you’ll help stakeholders confidently navigate procurement activities while improving consistency, efficiency and customer experience across Council.

This role suits someone who enjoys problem‑solving in a complex environment, thrives on collaboration and is motivated by continuous improvement.

To be successful you will have:

  • the ability to provide sound, confidential advice regarding procurement processes and systems
  • demonstrated experience across end‑to‑end procurement or source‑to‑pay processes using SAP Ariba
  • experience designing, implementing or improving procurement systems and processes
  • well‑developed problem‑solving, organisational and prioritisation skills
  • strong communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • contribute positively to team performance and culture.
