Our Business
Public Transport Services help keep Brisbane residents and visitors moving across our city. Our group operates and maintains one of the largest public transport fleets in Australia. Council’s 8 bus depots, spread across the city, ensure efficient operation of Council’s fleet.
Fleet Management Services (FMS) based at Toowong Workshops, provides a specialist function of acquiring, managing, repairing, overseeing compliance and disposing of Council's fleet.
The Role
Provide centralised support and specialist services, with a detail-driven and technically adept specialist team, centrally located in Toowong Bus Workshops. You will provide expertise and guidance on fleet maintenance processes with a strong ability to document, update and deliver to the highest standards across a diverse and evolving fleet. We maintain a variety of diesel, compressed natural gas and battery electric vehicles, metro vehicles, along with charging and supporting infrastructure, as well as specialised tools.
You will be the go-to expert for complex repairs, technical investigations, process documentation, audits and warranty issues, liaising with stakeholders and suppliers to ensure maintenance is not only specified correctly but also delivered effectively.
To be successful you will have:
- extensive technical knowledge and understanding of maintenance frameworks
- development, specification and monitoring of repairs, servicing and testing of bus systems and modifications
- exposure to acquisition, installation and maintenance of new vehicles, equipment and technology
- auditing expertise and exposure to bus warranty issues
- strong communication skills to negotiate and influence a diverse stakeholder group
- experience in planning and scheduling to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
