The Organisation
Infrastructure Services group (ISG) play a critical role in the preserving, maintaining and enhancing Council’s extensive asset portfolio including its road network, drainage network, bridges, footpaths, parks and urban forest.
The Business
Strategy and Performance branch leads strategic planning, performance reporting, governance and continuous improvement across Infrastructure Services.
The branch provides insight, coordination, and oversight for ISG, our branch helps to connect strategy with delivery, support informed decision-making, and drive better outcomes for the organisation and community.
The Role
This role conducts all aspects of research, design and delivery of learning solution programs for Council employees including senior management. With a focus on raising leadership capability, you will conduct learning needs analysis and provide instructional design, delivery and facilitation of training.
We are looking for a learning and development professional who works collaboratively and can seamlessly develop, manage, and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders from operational teams to senior management.

In this role you will
- undertake learning needs analysis, instructional design and delivery
- provide expertise in learning and development matters, coaching, mentoring and advice
- provide proactive, professional advice
- maintain up-to-date knowledge of learning innovations and best practice
- facilitate group processes and workshops
- develop and maintain a strong network and relationships with key senior stakeholders and business partners
To be successful you will have:
- demonstrated leadership capabilities delivering performance excellence
- experience undertaking learning needs analysis, instructional design and delivery
- experience of maintaining up-to-date knowledge of learning innovations and best practice
- proven ability to effectively utilise learning management systems
- well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- experience in identifying, recommending and delivering continuous improvement solutions.
