Our Branch

Information Services Branch (ISB) supports and enables nearly all of Council’s day-to-day activities and services through efficient, flexible and innovative ICT solutions. ISB leads the ICT strategy that supports the business objectives of Council as a whole, as well as information management and ICT service delivery in Council.

The Role

The Senior Application Analyst manages the application portfolio to ensure the delivery of the required Information and Communications Technology (ICT) outcomes in line with Council’s strategic direction and priorities. This includes working closely with customers to understand their needs, conducting regular reviews, managing performance of the applications and service providers whilst collaborating with Enterprise Architecture and other business partners to develop roadmaps for each application.

We pride ourselves in providing informed advice and pragmatic solutions to meet both service and customer expectations, the role will drive improvement across the portfolio including development of business cases to fund investment and  work with projects through their entire lifecycle to ensure business requirements are met and services are smoothly transitioned into operation.

To be successful you will have:

  • a passion and in-depth knowledge of ICT best practice and industry trends, strategies and business directions
  • the ability to strategically and operationally managing a portfolio of applications including managing external managed service or software as a service (SaaS) provider
  • a drive to lead by example in customer-partnering cross multiple enterprise ICT service domains and disciplines by
  • a desire to embracing the principles of business intimacy and operational excellence
  • a team first approach and willingness to give and receive feedback in a constructive manner with focus on continuous improvement.

This role requires a Criminal History Check for preferred candidates.
