Our Branch
The Business Engagement and Performance Branch operates across Council as a strategic partner and standard-setter, empowering the organisation to deliver exceptional community and organisational value through enterprise strategy-to-execution alignment, good governance, and service and process excellence. The branch builds Council’s capacity to manage performance, portfolios and change to deliver desired outcomes for the city and adapt to future demand and growth.
The Role
As the Integrated Governance Lead, you will take the lead in embedding Council’s Integrated Governance Framework and other strategic initiatives to ensure governance practices are consistent, transparent, and aligned with our organisational vision. You’ll design and implement tools, templates, and processes that strengthen governance maturity and support informed decision-making across the organisation.
In this role, you will work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders at all levels, using your exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills to build strong relationships and drive continuous improvement. Your expertise in governance and strategic frameworks will enable you to provide trusted advice and deliver outcomes that enhance performance and accountability.
To be successful you will have:
- exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead, influence and build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- strong knowledge of Council’s organisational structure, relevant legislation, governance principles, and strategic frameworks
- demonstrated experience in leading governance initiatives and driving continuous improvement in complex environments.
