Salary Range: (Band 2) $70,378- $75,056 annually (Remuneration stated is for the full-time positions) 

Work type: Temporary full-time (12 months)

Location: Brisbane Square carpool office, Green Square, Wacol and other Council locations as required. 

The Fleet Solutions Branch manages every step of the lifecycle of Brisbane City Council’s fleet. We plan, procure, maintain, repair and dispose of Council's fleet assets.

We operate a modern workshop facility at Wacol which provides scheduled servicing, general repairs and vehicle body work to Council's fleet of vehicles along with the procurement and disposal of Council’s fleet assets.

This position is an important member of the Fleet Optimisation Team and is vital in providing assistance to the day-to-day operation of Council's carpools. 

This role oversees carpool administration, vehicle booking and the vehicle allocation system including co-ordinating the regular movement of vehicles for cleaning, servicing and repairs. You will be responsible for reporting, data and analysis for optimising the utilisation of the carpool fleet. 

We are looking for someone who is customer focused with a strong work ethic and well-developed administration and computer skills. A good level of physical fitness will be required to ensure basic checks and cleaning of vehicles can be completed in sometimes last minute timeframes. You will work autonomously at our Brisbane Square city office as well as across various carpool sites, including Wacol Depot. You will have the opportunity to display your customer service skills as you engage and communicate with a diverse range of customers.  


To be successful you will have: 

  • experience in a customer service role 
  • ability to work autonomously and effectively in a team 
  • excellent organisational and time management skills 
  • experience using Microsoft Office software packages 
  • sound written and verbal communication skills to liaise with customers 
  • ability to clean vehicles, equipment, and facilities to a high standard with a basic vehicle knowledge.
