Our Service Delivery Group
The Traffic Network Services team within Construction Branch, are responsible for a number of services including 'on street' paid parking systems that includes parking meter maintenance and supporting virtual payment systems from Council’s 920+ paid parking zones.
The Role
The primary purpose of the Parking Audit Systems Officer is to manage the income collection process from paid parking zones, including compliance and auditing of paid parking revenue. This role will assist in maintaining parking meter operational systems and assist with formulating maintenance activities that contribute to continuous improvements & the delivery of operations. This will involve month end reporting, investigations and credit card and mobile payments reconciliation activities.
To be successful in this role you will show strong initiative, have strong investigative, analytical and research skills, be an independent & agile thinker and driven to provide continuous improvements and high performance within the team.
To be considered you will have:
- demonstrated capabilities in Council’s Leadership Blueprint to deliver performance excellence and a values-based culture
- proven ability to utilise parking revenue management system databases to analyse, audit and assess daily revenues with a high degree of accuracy
- demonstrated high level research and analytical skills coupled with a sound knowledge of continuous improvement and data control, problem solving skills
- high level organisational and time management skills to manage competing priorities and achieve tight deadlines and positive outcomes
- knowledge and experience in financial systems and in preparing reports and correspondence
- strong computer literacy including major word processing, presentation and/or project software packages
- well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflict, negotiate, influence and liaise with internal and external customers
