Corporate Services supports, equips and helps guide Council to deliver the Brisbane Vision through centralised corporate services and a customer-focused approach. We are committed to delivering better value by continuously improving our people, our processes and our technology.
Our Branch
Support Services provides Council's key support services such as administrative services data, reporting and analysis, employee services, financial services, payment and supply services, process and innovation, revenue management, and solution centre. Our efficient back-of-house support ensures more resources can be focused on Council’s front-line service delivery.
The Role
The Employee Services Officer provides high quality, timely customer service and operational support to the Employee Services team, HR stakeholders, and Council employees. It involves working in our Supplementary Workforce Services team responsible for Contractor, Consultancy and 3rd Party engagements, delivering customer focused service, maintaining confidentiality, managing data in Council business systems, and ensuring all administrative tasks are completed efficiently and in line with relevant policies and procedures.
It focuses on building effective working relationships within the team, offering accurate advice on Council processes, and supporting a range of activities including training coordination, procurement, reporting, system support, audits, and testing.
To be successful you will have:
- a collaborative approach by contributing to team goals and engaging positively with feedback
- experience delivering accurate, high‑quality administrative support in a busy environment
- strong working knowledge of Employee Services systems such as SAP, LMS and recruitment platforms
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels
- the ability to plan, prioritise and manage your workload to meet deadlines and customer needs
- skills in creating effective templates, tools and process documentation
- strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a focus on improving processes and systems.
An understanding of Council HR policies relating to recruitment, selection and learning and development is desirable but not mandatory.
