Construction delivers an extensive range of specialist services in the areas of infrastructure, storm water drainage, bridge maintenance, transport network technologies, trades, land remediation, asset intelligence, lighting and facility services.

The Role

In this varied and rewarding role, you'll lead the delivery of facilities projects that help keep Brisbane's built assets safe, functional and fit for purpose. From planning and procurement through to contract administration, site coordination and handover, you'll work with a diverse range of stakeholders to bring projects to life while balancing quality, budget, safety and operational needs.

Working across minor works, renewals, tenant works and maintenance-related projects, you'll have the opportunity to make a visible impact on facilities used by the community every day. Key responsibilities of the role include:

• manage facilities projects, minor works and renewals from planning through to completion and handover
• coordinate procurement activities, contractor engagement and contract administration to support successful project delivery
• work closely with tenants, customers, asset owners and stakeholders to manage project requirements and minimise operational impacts
• monitor site activities, quality outcomes, safety requirements and contractor performance to ensure works are delivered to standard
• maintain project, financial and compliance records while providing regular updates on project progress, risks and key issues.

To be successful you will have:

• demonstrated experience managing facilities projects, minor works or maintenance-related works from planning through to delivery and handover
• strong knowledge of procurement, contract administration and contractor management practices
• the ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
• sound understanding of WHS, risk management, quality assurance and compliance requirements within a project environment
• excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes.
