Our Branch
Support Services provides Council's key support services under a centralised model. The efficient delivery of enabling services ensures more resources can be focused on Council’s front-line service delivery.
Employee Services is part of Support Services and is made up of four core functions – Recruitment, Learning & Development, Payroll and Optimisation. We work together to ensure accurate and timely employee lifecycle support across Council.
The Role
Reporting to the Optimisation and Performance Manager, the Performance Reporting Experience Leader will play a pivotal role in shaping how Employee Services delivers value across the organisation. You’ll lead a high performing specialist team, using data, insight and strong governance to drive performance excellence and continuously improve employee and customer experience. This role offers real scale, visibility and the opportunity to influence how services are designed, measured and improved.
Working closely with senior leaders and executive stakeholders, you’ll lead strategic initiatives, build strong partnerships and turn complex challenges into practical outcomes. You’ll thrive in a fast paced, multi-faceted environment that values collaboration, innovation and accountability, bringing a future focused mindset to improve systems, processes and performance across the business.
To be successful you will have:
- proven experience leading high‑performing teams of subject matter experts within complex people or shared services environments, managing multiple concurrent work streams and competing priorities.
- strong capability in using data, reporting and insight to drive performance and continuous improvement
- demonstrated experience in governance, assurance and quality frameworks that enhance customer and employee experience
- the ability to lead change, influence stakeholders and deliver outcomes at a strategic, enterprise level
- highly developed communication and relationship‑building skills, with a collaborative and values‑led approach, supporting effective prioritisation, shared accountability, and the ability to push back constructively when expectations, timing, or scope require recalibration.
