Corporate Services support, equip and help guide Council to deliver the Brisbane Vision through centralised corporate services and a customer-focused approach.

Our Branch

Support Services provides Council's key support services under a centralised model.

Our efficient back-of-house support ensures more resources can be focused on Council’s front-line service delivery.

Payment and Supply Services (PaSS) is part of Support Services within Corporate Services. They provide procurement support, storage and movement of inventory, and payment of suppliers to all areas of Council.

The Role

We are looking for a passionate, pragmatic and innovative individual to lead and undertake strategic payment and supply services related business process improvement projects and activities. The role involves liaising and negotiating with a range of stakeholders to produce payment and supply services best practice related initiatives and solutions that contribute to an efficient and effective service offering.

To be successful you will have:

  • ability to contribute to team direction and contribute to a culture of performance excellence.
  • experience in developing formal business cases or documentation that clearly adds value to council
  • excellent influencing skills to explore business issues systematically and consider innovative options to resolve complex and/or strategic solutions across multiple business areas
  • well-developed, analytical and problem-solving skills to capture opportunities for improved payment and supply services
  • a desire to lead by example to champion change in a dynamic environment
  • knowledge of procurement and vendor best practice to provide information on compliance to governance groups
  • ability to identify and deliver creative solutions that align to key strategic organisational objectives.
  • ability to communicate articulately (both written and verbal) and deliver feedback in a constructive manner with focus on continuous improvement.

This role requires a Criminal History Check for preferred candidates.
