Corporate Services support, equip and help guide Council to deliver the Brisbane Vision through centralised corporate services and a customer-focused approach.

Our Branch

Corporate Property was created at the end of 2023, bringing together multiple teams from across Council into one branch to deliver services to support asset optimisation and property administration. 

The creation of this branch brought together teams from across Council to deliver services to:

  • support asset optimisation and property administration (including disposals);
  • to be responsible for consolidating and optimising the property, accommodation, and leasing functions for Council; 
  • management of community and commercial leasing;
  • to provide advice and guidance to ensure Council’s property portfolio is maximising value and operating in an economically sustainable way. 

The Role

The Senior Leasing Officer manages all aspects of the leasing and property management of Council's corporate property portfolio inclusive of revenue and expenditure leases for commercial, industrial, retail, residential and telecommunication sites. Skills required to be successful in this role include the administration of contracts, lease agreements, addressing tenant issues and problem solving.

To be successful you will have:

  • experience in commercial / retail property management
  • strong stakeholder management, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • excellent attention to detail to maintain Lease Portfolio information and ensure it is up to date
  • experience coordinating tender processes
  • solid understanding of relevant legislation and legislative compliance
  • experience with SAP or similar application.
