Location: weekly rotations across our Depots in Brisbane.

Infrastructure Services (ISG) brings together Council's asset management, infrastructure planning, design, project management, construction, services, maintenance and transport operations activities.

Public Space Operations (PSO) is a service delivery, customer focused and commercially driven business that prides itself on keeping Brisbane’s streets and public spaces clean, green and safe for the enjoyment of residents and visitors alike.
The Role
We’re hiring an experienced EWP Operator / Heavy Vehicle Driver to support our Arboriculture Operations teams. This is a hands-on role where you’ll operate heavy vehicles and elevated work platforms while helping deliver safe, high-quality tree maintenance services.
This role will see you:
- operate heavy vehicles and elevated work platforms safely and efficiently
- lead site safety when the tower is in use, including risk assessments and traffic control
- supervise aerial aspects of tree trimming and removal activities
- work closely with the Team Leader to meet agreed performance standards
- carry out daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment
- complete required checklists, logbooks and daily activity records
- maintain clear communication with the team using radios during operations
- use and maintain tools and small plant in line with procedures
- support arboricultural tasks as required
- follow all Workplace Health & Safety, environmental and compliance requirements.
To be successful you will need:
- experience operating elevated work platforms and heavy vehicles
- strong knowledge of safe work practices and relevant legislation
- proven ability to manage worksite safety when operating an EWP
- experience completing pre-start checks, maintenance and compliance checks
- sound understanding of arboriculture practices and procedures
- strong communication skills, including clear instructions during operations
- ability to work to schedules and meet quality, safety and timeliness targets
- Possession of a current White Card
- Possession of a current MR (Medium Rigid) class driver licence
- Possession of a Certificate III in Arboriculture.
