Our Stream

The Talent and Attraction Stream in People and Culture is responsible for leading and delivering an inclusive, strategic talent and attraction agenda that responds to market trends ensuring the right people are in the right roles at the right time. This includes Council's employment programs and talent pathways, onboarding and probation frameworks and proving subject matter expertise on remuneration and benefits strategies to strengthen Council’s competitiveness in the employment market.

The Role

This role is responsible for coordinating Council’s Apprenticeship employment program through;

  • Program Planning
  • Managing end-to-end processes in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting the scheduling and facilitation of developments programs
  • Supporting host work areas where required
  • Providing regular and accurate program reports
  • Providing specialist advice to internal and external customers and stakeholders advocating for participants
  • Leading and role modelling customer focused behaviour by delivering high standards of service to our diverse customers and treating them with honesty, fairness, sensitivity and dignity.
  • Working in partnership with your leader to agreed performance standards and expectations.

To be successful you will have:

  • Previous experience managing an early career on entry level cohort of apprentices is desirable
  • Proven ability and experience in developing and maintaining positive partnerships with a range of internal and external stakeholders through effective communication, collaboration and leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and work collaboratively across projects to achieve required outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in mentoring and coaching with a focus on career management and capability development.
