About this Position  

In this position, you will be part of Brisbane City Council, which has a central role in readying the city for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games over the coming years. 

We are seeking an experienced corporate contract manager to lead the management and delivery of complex, high-value contracts supporting key public and active transport for Brisbane. You will oversee and drive a diverse portfolio; ensuring transport contracts deliver value, manage risk, and align with strategic goals for the city.  This is an opportunity to help shape how residents and visitors utilise public and active transport across Brisbane.

Success in this role requires strong contract governance, strategic and operational management; significant stakeholder engagement, and a results-driven approach to service delivery, facilitating integrated public and active transport, and transport-related advertising outcomes. You will utilise your extensive knowledge and experience to manage the lifecycle of a contract from negotiating with suppliers for implementation, measuring performance of the success of contracts and negotiation and renewal with existing suppliers for better outcomes for Brisbane.

To be successful, you will bring: 

• demonstrated expertise managing contracts in a complex or public-sector environment 
• experience navigating competing stakeholder interests while maintaining delivery focus and commercial integrity 
• strong experience with governance, risk, quality, and performance frameworks in contract management 
• a track record of using contracts as strategic tools to deliver innovation, efficiency, and public value, and 
• excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with a collaborative, outcomes-focused mindset. 

Contract negotiation and procurement experience is beneficial but not the primary focus.
