Branch: Information Services

Salary Range: Band 5, range $91,900 to $104,172 plus superannuation. Enjoy a weekly pay cycle.

Work type: Full-time multiple roles, temp up to 12 and up to 24 months (with possibility for extension)

Location: Brisbane Square, 266 George St, Brisbane, hybrid working conditions are available

Our Branch

Information Services branch (ISB) supports and enables nearly all of Council’s day-to-day activities and services through efficient, flexible, and innovative ICT solutions. We lead the ICT strategy that supports the business objectives of Council as a whole, as well as information management and ICT service delivery in Council.

Why these roles matter

The Information Services branch (ISB) at Brisbane City Council are seeking experienced ICT Project Coordinators to coordinate specialised projects, ensuring support with governance and administrative requirements, responsive to customer needs. These roles are critical to the success of ISB’s Program of Work and plays a key part in strengthening our internal capability under the Organisational Services strategy. They ensure compliance with best practice guidelines, utilising project management understanding, experience and methodologies.

 In this role, you will: 

  • develop and maintain key project documentation including project plans, schedules, budgets, estimates, status reports, and registers
  • coordinate day-to-day project activities by supporting Project and Program Managers with scheduling, action tracking, and delivery governance
  • monitor financials by tracking budgets, cost models, Ariba requisitions, and monthly reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • facilitate governance forums and Agile ceremonies such as showcases and planning sessions, including agenda preparation, decision capture, and follow-ups
  • maintain and update project and portfolio tools including Microsoft Project Online, Confluence, FIGMA and Jira boards to support tracking of risks, issues, and priorities
  • support stakeholder engagement by coordinating communications and enabling alignment across teams, domains, vendors, and leadership

 What you will bring:

  • proven experience in project planning and coordination, including scheduling tasks, maintaining timelines, tracking milestones, and supporting delivery across multiple initiatives
  • strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to liaise confidently across teams, vendors, and governance forums
  • well-developed administrative and documentation skills, including preparing project plans, status reports, registers, and maintaining structured records
  • practical experience in budget tracking and contract management, including Ariba requisitions, monthly finance reporting, and managing contract extensions
  • ability to facilitate governance activities, including showcases, quarterly planning, and portfolio ceremonies, supported by Miro dashboards and reporting tools
  • familiarity with project management tools and methodologies, such as Microsoft Project Online, Jira, Confluence, Agile frameworks, and collaboration platforms
  • strong organisational and analytical capabilities, with the ability to manage competing priorities, support process improvements, and contribute to data-driven decisions

Qualifications in project management, business administration, or information technology are highly regarded.
