In corporate services we support, equip and help guide Council to deliver the Brisbane Vision through centralised corporate services and a customer-focused approach.

The Branch

Councils Information Services Branch provides a range of information and communication Technology (ICT) services that support the operations of the Brisbane City Council as a whole and employs a range of technical specialists among its teams. ICT disciplines work collaboratively to support ICT Service Delivery processes, governance, performance, and reporting.

The Role

This role is the key technical specialist for modern endpoint management, providing deep expertise across end user computing technologies including Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM), Intune and Autopilot, along with desktop operating systems and application delivery, with some involvement in mobile device management across iOS and Android platforms.

You will play a critical role in maintaining and improving Council’s endpoint environment, ensuring reliable, secure and high-performing end user services. The role combines operational support, technical design input and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on modern desktop deployment, application packaging and centralised management.

You will also contribute to the development and maintenance of operational procedures and provide expert advice on configurations, platform performance and future enhancements across the endpoint ecosystem.

To be successful you will have:

  • Ability to contribute to team direction, give and receive feedback and achieve agreed performance standards in order to contribute to a culture of performance excellence.
  • Proven ability to analyse, diagnose and resolve complex ICT issues in an end user environment and experienced in providing advanced and specialised ICT troubleshooting advice and support for complex ICT systems and applications.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in modern desktop deployment and management technologies, including application packaging and streaming (e.g. MSIX, PowerShell), operating systems, endpoint protection, system rebuilds and enterprise-grade networking solutions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and in-depth experience using a suite of modern endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM), Intune, and Autopilot.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain advanced technical understanding and experience in the support and delivery of end user computing technologies and platforms.
  • Proven organisational skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage incidents and tasks aligned with ITIL-based service management frameworks and agreed service levels.
  • Manage, support and administer mobile device environments including iOS and Android platforms using Apple Business Manager (ABM), Samsung Knox, Microsoft Intune and Ivanti, ensuring secure configuration, compliance and lifecycle management of mobile endpoints.
  • Certifications in; ITIL, Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (or equivalent current Microsoft certification), ICT specialised support, and tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded.
