Offering turn-up-and-go services with 24-hour operations on weekends, Brisbane Metro seamlessly integrates into the city's New Bus Network.
Featuring 60 state-of-the-art, battery-electric metros operated by Public Transport Services, with zero emissions including advanced amenities like USB charging, WiFi, and enhanced accessibility, Brisbane Metro exemplifies cutting-edge urban mobility solutions and sustainable infrastructure development.
The Role
The Metro Support Officer ensures the efficient operation of metro services, leading by example in supporting Metro operators with empathy, honesty and fairness. Manage work allocations, ensure timely dispatch of Metro Vehicles, operate and manage various systems, including the Brisbane Metro Management System (BMMS), monitor and maintain network performance and proactively manage issues to prevent service disruptions.
Work across a variety of shifts, seven days a week, supporting Metro operators and providing timely information to Depot Operations Team Leaders or the Depot Manager for issue resolution. Administrative responsibilities include managing accurate payroll information and ensuring compliance with safety legislation.
This role operates on a rotating roster (currently six days on, four days off), supporting extended daily operations, including 22‑hour services Sunday to Thursday and 24‑hour services on Friday and Saturday.

- ability to exhibit meticulous attention to detail in completing all documentation, such as payroll information and incident reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards
- strong interpersonal skills including empathy and clear communication to support team members and resolve issues effectively.
