Work type: Permanent Full-time – Night Shift 21:03 to 05:30 – 9 Day Fortnight

The Role

Join Brisbane City Council as a Mechanical Sweeper Driver in the Infrastructure Services department. This role involves operating and maintaining special cleansing vehicles to uphold cleanliness and efficiency in public spaces. The successful candidate will contribute to a culture of performance excellence, collaborate with the team, and demonstrate expertise in civil construction tasks.

As part of the City Standards, Public Space Operations branch, you will play a vital role in maintaining Brisbane's streets and public areas in line with Workplace Health and Safety Legislation, OHS policies, and environmental standards. To be successful you will have:

  • minimum of an MR Licence
  • ability to collaborate effectively with the team to maintain performance excellence
  •  demonstrated expertise in heavy vehicle operation
  • adherence to Workplace Health and Safety Regulations, OHS policies, and relevant legislation
  • skillful in site and vehicle preparation to streamline daily activities and boost efficiency
  • understanding of quality, cost, and timeliness in business performance, taking ownership of individual responsibilities within the team.
