Our Branch
City Legal is a specialist provider of legal services to Brisbane City Council. We provide a comprehensive range of cost-effective legal services, adding value to Council's core business and major projects.
The Role
Are you a paralegal with an interest in planning and development law, looking for an in-house role?
As a Paralegal in the Planning Appeals team, you will provide critical support and administrative assistance to five specialist lawyers and a Senior Paralegal in a fast-paced legal environment. This is a dynamic and diverse role where you will be assisting with the management of Court deadlines, the preparation and delivery of legal documents and generally assisting the team with the conduct of Planning and Environment Court proceedings.
This role requires a keen eye for detail to ensure all documents are accurate and professionally presented for legal proceedings. Strong organisational skills and a commitment to quality assurance are essential. If you can maintain precision under pressure and keep up with a fast-moving legal environment, you’ll excel in this role.
Due to the nature of the work, this is a full-time, in-office position.
In this role you will:
- provide a variety of administration support to legal practitioners
- Facilitate and prepare important legal documents, including court forms and briefs for counsel and experts
- assist in trial preparation.
To be successful you will have:
- a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
- demonstrated administrative and organisational skills
- very high attention to detail
- the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- have ability to use Microsoft Office, records management, and other computerised support systems.
