Our Branch – Information Services
Information Services Branch (ISB) drives Brisbane City Council’s digital transformation by developing and implementing ICT strategies that enhance service delivery, optimise operations, and shape the digital landscape for the Brisbane community. ISB is committed to improving liveability, sustainability, and economic growth through innovative digital solutions. Key focus areas of ISB include enhancing the digital experience, advising on technology to support Council's Vision, and driving innovation for Brisbane Vision 2031.
The Role
ISB is organised into nine sections, including the Data and Information Insights team, where the Business Transition practice is based. As a Lead Business Transition Manager, you will build trust and capability, empowering the business to adapt, adopt and flourish in new ways of working. You will do this by leading, building, and delivering integrated business transition outcomes for your project and the business. Navigating seamlessly between the business and your technology project, you will work collaboratively with a diverse and dynamic set of stakeholders, technical specialists, and business partners, delivering organisational benefits and positive, sustainable, project outcomes.
The role includes:
- fostering a culture of innovation and digital readiness within Council
- ensuring business and people readiness for the successful implementation of ICT project outcomes
- engaging and guiding stakeholders in the leadership of business transition processes and activities for business readiness
- translating technical information into consumable context for business application
- involvement in project analysis, strategy and planning, solution design, test support, release activities and Go-Live preparation and roll out
- managing alignment with a focus on integrating business and technical aspects seamlessly
- understanding and applying business knowledge and insights
- designing and delivering services for the business and people components of ICT projects, to ensure a seamless transition.
To be successful you will have:
- proven business transition experience in an ICT project environment, in a large and complex organisation
- significant demonstrated experience in preparing and delivering strategies and plans that support human performance throughout change
- extensive experience in building relationships, coaching, and facilitating constructive conversations that challenge the status quo, and promote adoption of new behaviours, mindsets, and practices
- demonstrated success in providing authoritative, professional advice to senior and line management regarding business transition
- excellent consultation, communication, and people skills to influence and effectively build relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
This role will require a Criminal History Check.
