Infrastructure Services Group (ISG) brings together Council's asset management, infrastructure planning, design, project management, construction, services, maintenance and transport operations activities.​

Our Branch

Project Management Branch (PMB) delivers project management, assurance and commercial services for service owners across Council. We work closely with asset owners to turn approved investments into delivered infrastructure and services, while improving how projects are planned, governed and tracked across the full lifecycle.

Story Bridge Renewal Program

Brisbane City Council is extending the life of the Story Bridge for another 100 years. This incredible role will join the Story Bridge Renewal Program, a dedicated team that is leading the restoration of Brisbane’s iconic Story Bridge.

The Role

Support the planning, procurement, design and delivery of the Story Bridge Renewal Program (SBRP) by providing engineering expertise, project coordination and technical leadership across assigned work packages. Working as part of an integrated project team, you will collaborate with consultants, contractors and stakeholders to manage project interfaces, resolve complex technical challenges and help deliver safe, high-quality outcomes that support the successful renewal of one of Brisbane's most iconic assets. Success in this role will require the ability to operate effectively within a complex and dynamic major infrastructure program, navigating evolving priorities, emerging risks, multiple stakeholder interfaces and an evolving organisational environment while maintaining focus on successful delivery outcomes.

To be successful you will have:

• demonstrated experience leading the planning and delivery of complex infrastructure projects or programs to achieve scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety and stakeholder outcomes.
• demonstrated ability to apply engineering expertise and project management capability to support the planning, procurement, design and delivery of complex infrastructure projects.
• demonstrated experience working within multidisciplinary project environments and coordinating activities across consultants, contractors, technical specialists and stakeholders.
• demonstrated experience identifying, managing and resolving project risks, issues, interfaces and dependencies associated with the delivery of complex projects.
• demonstrated ability to work effectively within integrated project teams and build productive relationships to achieve project outcomes.
• demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation of project documentation, reports, briefings and correspondence.
• demonstrated high level communication, consultation and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

A Bachelor’s degree qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline is a mandatory requirement for this role.

A valid Criminal History Check is a mandatory requirement for this role.
