Civil Construction Trainee – 2025
Salary Range: $859.60 - $915.70 per week plus super
Work type: Temporary Full Time
Duration: Up to 12 months

Are you an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person looking to get hands-on experience in construction while earning a nationally recognised qualification?
Brisbane City Council’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Traineeship Pathway Program is designed to support mob into meaningful career pathways in civil construction. You’ll learn on the job while gaining a Certificate II in Civil Construction and receiving tailored mentoring and support.

After completing the traineeship, you’ll have:
- a nationally recognised qualification (Cert II in Civil Construction)
- a solid foundation for a career in construction
- the skills to apply for roles within Council or beyond.
