Salary Range: (Band 6) $108,005 – $119,507 per annum plus superannuation

(Remuneration stated is for full-time positions)

Work type: Temporary full-time up to August 2025

Location: Brisbane CBD (office and work from home days)

About Us

The role of City Administration and Governance (CAG) is to protect, enable and promote the integrity and reputation of Council. The City Communication branch leads, develops, implements, provides advice, and evaluates all external communication for the whole of Council. This team is comprised of marketing and communication experts who specialise in areas such as digital, media, marketing, brand, and research.

We are a group of experienced communication professionals looking for a collaborative team member who thrives in a dynamic environment. Your leadership team bring a wealth of knowledge to create a supportive and open team environment.

The Role

As an experienced communication and marketing professional with strong project management and stakeholder relations skills you will be driven by high quality marketing and communication strategies, campaigns, and activities, working closely with Marketing colleagues to develop marketing and communication campaign materials. The work you deliver will contribute to communicating a wide range of services, programs, and activities Council delivers which make a difference to Brisbane.

To be successful you will have the following attributes:

  • ability to contribute to a positive team and values-based culture
  • strong communication skills including researching, writing, editing, proofreading and presentation skills, for a range of projects and audiences
  • ability to influence outcomes and build positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and customers
  • ability to develop, implement and evaluate marketing and communication strategies to support program outcomes and business goals, including managing and reporting on project budgets
  • demonstrated ability to provide specialist advice and assistance in the design and development of marketing and communication activities, including digital marketing strategies
  • knowledge of current communication and marketing issues and trends, including digital marketing and proven ability to use this to improve communication outcomes.
