Location: Fortitude Valley and Brisbane CBD 

 

The Role 

As Finance Officer, you will deliver high-quality financial services and data management and insights to support one or more assigned branches and/or budget programs. The role contributes to Council’s financial sustainability by providing expert analysis, reporting, and advice, ensuring compliance with financial governance frameworks. 

To be successful you will have: 

  • demonstrated experience delivering financial, management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and reporting services in a complex organisation
  • strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights to support business decision-making
  • sound knowledge of accounting standards, principles, practices and relevant regulatory requirements
  • proven ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement customer-focused financial solutions
  • excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a diverse organisation
  • strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and agile environment.
