Salary Range: (Band 6) $108,005 - $119,507 per annum plus superannuation 

(Remuneration stated is for full-time positions) 

Work type: Temporary full-time 

Duration: Up to 24 months (Possible extension thereafter, not guaranteed).

Transportation is the centre of our vibrant City and the glue of daily lives. Transport for Brisbane keeps our City moving, working with stakeholders and delivery partners in supporting and improving the mobility of residents and visitors, 24/7.  

Network Coordination Centre, (NCC), provides real-time network and incident management, championing the services provided by over 1200 buses, seven bus depots, and over 2600 dedicated drivers. The centre is pivotal in ensuring a great experience for our customer focused network, ensuring safety of the bus fleet, drivers and passengers, coordinating all services and transportation to major public events, including critical incident responses. With a zero-harm focus, the centre monitors security for passengers and bus drivers, coordinating evacuation procedures, providing traveller information, service updates; and monitoring vehicles to ensure the timely service of our buses.

With a strong focus on governance this role provides necessary structures for success, driving clarity and direction, enabling the team of up to 15 staff to navigate transportation support with confidence and purpose. 

The role requires availability for flexible working hours/shifts and is based in Brisbane Square, reporting to the Operational Performance Manager.   

To be successful you will have the following attributes:  

  • Ability to manage daily operations of a busy control centre environment, providing direction, coordinating staff responses, decision making and prioritisation 
  • well-developed analytical skills to evaluate data, providing recommendations and strategic business solutions 
  • understanding of, and an ability to apply relevant legislation  
  • problem solving, rapid response to events, and stakeholder consultation.
