Are you ready to transition and manage the Brisbane City Council’s cybersecurity functions, including overseeing the 24x7x365 Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC). The Information Services branch (ISB) at Brisbane City Council is seeking a visionary and experienced Cyber Security Operations Manager to drive delivery excellence, integrate legacy systems with emerging technologies, embed cybersecurity-by-design, and drive cultural and digital change.

Our Branch
Information Services supports and enables all of Council’s day-to-day activities and services through efficient, flexible, and innovative ICT solutions. We lead the ICT strategy that supports the business objectives of Council as a whole, as well as information management and ICT service delivery in Council.
The Role:
A natural leader you will manage staff, processes and technology to detect, respond and mitigate potential cyber incidents. Developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies, policies and procedures to protect the organisation’s systems, networks and data, is essential to this cutting-edge role. Your ability to form and maintain string relationships at all areas of council will ensure the orchestration of resources from anywhere in Council to ensure effective incident response
As the successful candidate you will have:
- demonstrated leadership experience and capability to manage a high performing team
- a desire to thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment
- demonstrated knowledge to lead and manage a modern cyber security operations centre within a large enterprise
- well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- excellent commercial and supplier management skills
- a dedication to continuous improvement and resilience in security operations.

- demonstrated experience managing complex and competing priorities within strict deadlines.
